Stu and Meredith Ellis

My Mom will tell you I have been playing army and dressing in OD
since I was 3 years old(1951). I remember when there really was military surplus in
Army/Navy stores.
I work for a seafood importer HQ'd in Singapore. My wife Meredith is an Neonatal
Intensive Care Unit nurse at the New England Medical Center/Floating Hospital in Boston.
I was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA and my wife from NY City and Long Island.
We have lived in Derry, New Hampshire for 12 ears. I have 3 kids. Alan, 25 years
old serving in the army/infantry stationed with the 10th Mountain Division at Ft. Drum,
NY. Michele, 26 years old and lives in Philadelphia, PA. Jennifer, 6 years old and has
been riding in army jeeps her whole life We now have a 1967 M151A1, 1986 M1009 and a 1964
M416 trailer. The first HMV my wife and I restored was a 1952 M38A1.
We stared in the hobby because my wife wanted to pick-up an old postal jeep to run around town. I convinced her the old army jeep would be more practical (HaHaHa!). I have found you can only use that reasoning once with MV's.
We found a beat M38A1 in Plymouth, MA to work on, over paid for it, but had a great time
working on it with my wife.
Thanks to old club members; Joseph LeGault & Ed Girrior, I was
able to bring the M38A1 back to life. It is because of these guys, as well as others
from the club who have helped me in my projects that I joined the club.
