Edwin Girrior is both a WW2 veteran from the ETO and a very long time HMV collector. He actually has membership #1 in the MVMVC!

"I own a very rare and beautiful WW2 1/2 ton Dodge WC Carryall. I  purchased it at auction in 1969 from a taxi company in Lowell Mass. It was used for a maintenance truck for the taxi company.

During WW2, it was used up on the Alcan Highway in Alaska from 1942 to 1945. It was used to transport personnel of the 341st Regiment of Engineers building that highway. It was sold to the taxi company in 1946.

The restoration involved an engine overhaul, OD paint, and new tires. It made it to the first rally in Oakham Mass in 1976"           Ed Girrior
